The capital region AFSP (American foundation for Suicide prevention) hosts events highlighting resources, and spreading awareness. In addition to fundraising for the important cause. I happily participated in the annual Hike for hope in 2024 and 2025. As well as the 2025 hike Away the Dark. The more awareness we spread the more we can hopefully reach those alone in crisis. I attended Wildwood and Albany Barn’s Collaborative Art Showcase 2024 and bore witness to some of the literal beauty that comes from the work at Wildwood. Wildwood’s mission statement is: “Wildwood strengthens the well-being of people with disabilities and their families.” I participated in the Walk for Wildwood 2025 fundraiser: where I got to see a representation of the wonderful community,  and the care that goes into it. The first annual ADHD awareness walk  in 2025 at Crossgates mall, offered me an opportunity to speak about my first hand experience with ADHD. Thanks to Noteworthy Resources for shedding more light on on the ADHD experience, and ways to support those with ADHD. In 2026 I joined the first captial Region ADHD Coalition and you can too!
